Please Pray for the soul of Justin Figueroa, age 13, who died yesterday morning falling from the 18th floor window of their family condo in La Fayette 3 Eastwood.

Justin was my brother's best friend (Justin on the left, my brother on the right) I took this photo of them last Oct 4, 2008 at the 7th grade LSGH family day.

I was devastated when I heard the news and broke down in tears last night and still couldn't stop crying when I woke up and headed to the office.

Our office building is just across their condo and my heart feels so heavy just walking to the office and looking at the condo across where I used to drive my brother to meet up with Justin to hang out. I even went to their condo once to pick up my brother were Justin took us to his room and exchanged Game boy games with him.

I found on page 23 of Inquirer today the headline of Justin's untimely death.

Later in the afternoon I will visit with my family his remains at Arlington. My brother and parents already went last night. My mom was just as in shock as I was and we were crying all night when we talked about Justin.

The night before he died he even called my brother, but my brother was so exhausted from their exams this week, so was already fast asleep. This was routine because Justin would call my brother almost every night even if it was late. He didn't get to talk to Justin anymore after that.

The next day in school he found out about what happened when a fellow LSGH who also lives in La Fayette was in tears. My brother must have been stunned that he couldn't speak and his face was all blank.

My mom and I reminisced our happy memories with Justin. He has touched our family's heart in so many ways and he found a best friend in my brother.

We will miss you Justin...Farewell...
